Cambelt

The cambelt, or timing belt, is a vital component of your car's engine: it runs between the crankshaft and the camshaft, controlling when the engine's valves open and close.

If precautions are not taken and the cambelt isn't replaced around the distance or time of the manufacturer's recommended replacement interval, there is a risk that it will snap, which is likely to cause significant engine damage.
