Toyota Auris Hybrid to be Built in the UK

Riding on the success of the Toyota Prius, Toyota has announced that the Auris is also going hybrid. The Toyota Auris Hybrid will be built in Britain and will be available in the second quarter of 2010. There are subtle changes that have been made to the Auris. The aerodynamics have been improved, low resistance alloy rims and tyres added and the ride height has been lowered. The engine will be the same that powers the Prius, with the aid of an electric motor. There are solar panels to help recharge batteries and for running iPods. The Toyota Auris promises to be an interesting car.
