Saab GB, Saab's UK subsidiary, announced on November 29 that it has gone into administration.
This is not altogether surprising news, with uncertainty over the future of its parent company, Saab Automobile, continuing amid a 9-month silence from its production line in Sweden as the manufacturer searches for new funding.
Hope from two Chinese investors has been stalled as former owner GM threatened to stop its technology input if the deal goes through.
The statement from Saab GB states that the decision follows "months of intensive negotiations and a long period of suspended production and tight liquidity situation at Saab Automobile AB."
