The Ford Fiesta came in as the most popular car in the UK sold in 2011, with the Focus in second, the Vauxhall Corsa coming in third, followed by the VW Golf and the Vauxhall Astra.
These three manufacturers hold the honour of being the only car makers to shift more than 100,000 units so far in 2011. Infiniti and Alfa Romeo, however, have seen new registrations jump 77% and 48% each.
New car registrations came to 139,944 for last month, 2.6% ahead of October's figures, but 4.5% down on the year-to-date.
