McLaren Shows Off Latest Model At Goodwood

The Festival of Speed is never short on announcements, and Saturday was no different, with McLaren unveiling the latest version of its MP4-12C model. Extensively tested and honed, it's sure to take the race tracks of the World by storm.
This GT3 version will be the first McLaren made for use outside of F1 since the F1 GTR – which was last produced in 2005. Driven by a powerful 3.8 litre V8 twin turbo engine and containing a six-speed sequential shift gearbox, all wrapped up in a carbon-fibre chassis and sculptured into a far more aerodynamic form than its predecessor, it’s somewhat unfortunate that it will only be on sale to racing teams – sometime next year. However, McLaren fans will be able to view it performing at various shows for years to come.
