The National Policing Improvement Agency has recently finished sweeping across the 52 police departments in the UK and has decided to grant BMW with a contract to supply the boys in blue with some extremely fast kit, including:
- 330d Saloon and Touring models
- 530d Saloon and Touring models
- X1
- X3
- X5
- xDrive20d
- xDrive30d
- xDrive40d
A 330d Saloon Interceptor model sounds by far the most interesting, seeing as BMW won't give many details on it for security reasons. Ejector seats? Spikes that come out of the wheels and burst boy racers' tyres? Not all of the cars will be marked as police, so you may find out yourself if you've a heavy right foot...
The deal will last for four years.
