Big Cat Recall
13/11/2011
A software glitch in the X-type cruise control has caused Jaguar to recall all of their diesel engine models built between 2006 and 2010 – 17,678 cars in total.
The company has told customers that the glitch makes it "difficult to disengage the cruise control in the normal manner", also warning that turning off the ignition will disable cruise control mode.
A Jaguar spokesperson said that "This potential problem was spotted by one of our employees. No customer has been affected and there have been no accidents or injuries."
