Over the 12 - 15 February, rally fans were treated to seeing 42 cars sliding around the snow and ice of Oslo as the third Norway WRC Rally got underway.
Overall, after 23 competitive stages, Citroën's Sebastien Loeb finished first in his C4, followed by Mikko Hirvonen driving a Ford Focus, with Jari-Matti Latvala bringing the sister Ford Focus home in third place.
The main service area was located in the highly-observable Vikingskipet, the indoor Viking Ship stadium which was built to service speed skating events in the 1994 Winter Olympics.
As defined by the rally championship regulations, teams were only allowed to use Pirelli's 'Sottozero' studded tyre, specially widened for use on normal 15-inch rims.
The cars entered included:
- Citroën C4
- Ford Focus
- Subaru Impreza
- Mitsubishi Lancer EVO
- Skoda Fabia
