Discounted Car Servicing?

Your new car requires regular services to keep the warranty valid and to maintain the car in optimum condition. If you don’t do the recommended servicing that the manufacturer advises, you could end up spending more than the cost of the services as your car suffers breakdowns due to needless, excessive wear and tear.

Of course you don’t want this to happen to your car, but in these tough economic times it’s difficult to spend your hard earned money on servicing your car. Let’s face it; some of the services done by the manufacturers are very expensive, so should you consider discounted car servicing?

You have two other options to having the service done by the manufacturer:

• Don’t have the service and run the risk of a major, very costly repair.

• Use a garage that offers discounted car servicing.

If you choose the second option, make sure of a few things first:

• They only use OE parts.

• They have a good 12 month/12000 mile guarantee on all work.

• Their work will not invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty.

If the service offered can’t offer all this and more, you could end up paying more in the long run. Some work through a call centre that operates on your behalf, you never even have to go to the garage! Your car can be picked up and delivered. That’s what I call discounted car servicing!
